Tomato
I used rabbit hide glue to bond belgian linen to 5 in x 7 in lacquered luan panels. I applied three coats of gesso and sanded. I worked on this series of ten different vegetables and fruits at once, bringing them all along as I painted. I custom made and hand painted their antique gold floater frames, then covered them with 23K Gold Leaf.
